Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026. This is a plain-language summary of how Termuna handles data. It is not a substitute for legal advice, and we will keep it honest and current.
The local terminal collects nothing
The desktop app works with no account and makes no network calls unless you turn on cloud sync. There is no telemetry without explicit opt-in.
Cloud accounts
If you create a Termuna Cloud account, we store the minimum needed to run the service: your email address, a hashed password, device token hashes, billing information handled by our payment processor, and session metadata such as whether a session is live and its size. We do not store the contents of your sessions in a form we can read.
What we cannot see
Your keystrokes, terminal output, and scrollback are encrypted end to end. Session keys are generated on your devices and never reach our servers unwrapped. The relay stores only ciphertext. See the security model.
Payments
Paid plans are billed through a third-party payment processor. We do not store your card details; the processor does, under its own terms.
Your rights
- Export all of your data at any time, on any tier.
- Delete your cloud account, which removes your cloud data. Your local terminal keeps working.
- Revoke device access at any time.
