0.2.17

Released 2026-09-25. 6 entries.

Added: the daemon keeps its own picture of every pane

For the snapshot a viewer will attach on instead of replaying the log (ADR 0022, part 3 of 8): each local pane has an emulator of its own in the daemon, on a thread of its own, fed every chunk the pane writes in log order, resized with the PTY, filled once from the retained log when a pane arrives with history behind it (a handoff, a resurrection), and dropped with the pane. snapshot_rows in config.toml (default 2 000, max 100 000) is the scrollback it keeps. Nothing a viewer sees changes yet; part 4 puts the picture on the wire.

Fixed: a host card's icon sits on the middle of its text

The card's optional lines (agent, clipboard, forwarding, certificate) each left an empty placeholder when absent, and every placeholder still cost the column's spacing, so a two-line card was laid out as if four more lines sat under it and the icon settled below the text's middle. Absent lines take no room now.

Changed: a host card no longer says "clipboard follows the viewer"

Every host card carried that line, the default every host has unless told otherwise, so it told nobody anything. A card now states the clipboard only when it is off ("clipboard off · programs may set nothing") or pinned ("always lands on this machine"), the two states worth a line.

Fixed: the history seam no longer covers the first row, and stays off a short buffer

Scrolled to the top of a pane's history, "history begins here" was a label centred on the top edge of the first row, over its text. The grid now makes a row of room above the first line when the seam is on screen and the label sits in it, whole, the way the design draws the seam as a row of the flow. And a buffer that fits its screen has no history above it, so it draws no seam at all: a shell that never scrolled no longer carries "the full session from 12:24" over its first prompt.

Fixed: the continuity panel's keep-awake line ends in an ellipsis

"awake: command running, 3h 21m left" ran off the panel's right edge with no sign it went on. The line is elided with "…" to the panel's width, as the design's .aw line is.

Added: an agent's finished reply nudges the phone

A managed agent session raised attention only when the agent asked for a tool; a reply that ended with nothing to ask raised nothing, so a phone in a pocket never heard that the agent was done. The end of a turn now raises "needs input": the agent has answered and waits for the next message, the way a finished command does for a shell, under the same quiet gate as a bell (a reply that lands while you typed into the session within the last ten seconds nudges nobody). The next message stands it down. An ask that survives the turn keeps its own kind.
