0.2.18
Released 2026-09-25. 3 entries.
Added: the daemon sends each pane's sealed picture to a relay that keeps them
Part 7 of 8 of the snapshot on attach (ADR 0022, phase 2). To a relay whose Welcome says snapshots, the cloud bridge sends every pane's picture sealed with the session key, one cut for the set: after the attach replay, after a key rotation, after a lag resync, every 30 s while output has flowed, and at once after 1024 output frames. The relay never sees a row. A relay that does not say so, today's included, hears nothing new. The phone and the web viewer will attach on these once the relay keeps them.
Changed: coming back to a session is one paint
Opening a session, and coming back to one the window had left, replayed the daemon's retained log into fresh emulators and painted as it landed: for a program that repaints in place, a film of every redraw since the log's start, then a size nudge and one more repaint. The window now attaches on each pane's picture (ADR 0022, part 5 of 8): the daemon sends the pane as it stands, one frame, and live output from there. No film, no nudge, no twitch. A daemon from before this release still replays, and the window still understands it.
Added: a viewer can attach on each pane's picture instead of a replay
Part 4 of 8 of the snapshot on attach (ADR 0022). Hello and the local Attach gain a snapshot flag; a viewer that sets it is served one Snapshot frame per pane after Layout (the pane as it stands, with up to snapshot_rows of history) and live output from there: no fresh-terminal reset, none of that pane's output replayed, no repaint nudge. A viewer that does not ask, and every peer from before the flag, gets the replay it always did. The desktop window does not ask yet; part 5 makes it.
